Mugla
In ancient times, when the territory of Mugla silt was called “Kariya”, there was a small settlement of Mobolla (nothing has survived from it). The city was not significant until the inclusion of this territory in the Ottoman Empire: in 1420 it became the administrative center of the Sanjak Menteshe, which after the formation of the Turkish Republic was renamed “Mugla”
