Wakesurf differs from other sports, which may even be similar to each other, by the lack of requirements regarding the availability of special equipment. A wakesurf is easily made with your own hands from a regular snowboard, to which special mounts are added. Or you can buy a ready-made wakesurf.
Wakesurf does not require constant use of the file. It is required only at the start. Ballast is loaded on one side of the boat, the person starts with the help of a halyard, which helps to stand on the board. Then the halyard is released and the movement continues along the wave that comes from the boat. For such riding, you will need a regular surfboard, even special mounts will not be needed. You can start without a rope, but simply from the stern of the floating device. The surf wave is a tricky and capricious thing, but the success of surfing depends on it, and here the water rises artificially , therefore completely obeys the desire of the athlete.
Wakesurfing Tricks
No traces and requirements for depth and smoothness of the bottom, strength and direction of the wind. You can get on the board in any body of water, the main thing is the presence of a boat.
Wakesurf has a set of standard elements and tricks:
- regular – skating on the left side of the boat;
- goofy – skating on the right side of the boat;
- toy side – riding facing the wave;
- hill side – riding with your back to the wave;
- the line ride assumes the use of rope;
- freeriding resembles regular surfing, which dispenses with additional elements.
To perform the trick, the athlete will need to move away from the moving boat, turn around and head towards one of the waves with acceleration. The wave is used as a springboard from which to jump and perform a trick. As a result of such actions, the rider is placed behind the second wave, with which the above actions can be repeated.
