The skiing area

The Alta Badia skiing area in the Dolomites is situated between 1,300 and 2,778 metres above sea level, providing optimum skiing conditions from December through to April.

53 fast and comfortable ski lifts, 130 km of excellently prepared ski pistes (subdivided in: 74 km easy/blue, 47 km medium/red and 9 km difficult/black) and its central position in the world’s biggest ski carousel, the Dolomiti Superski, have ensured that Alta Badia is one of the most popular skiing areas in the Dolomites. Thanks to the direct ski connection, you have the opportunity of skiing to your hearts’ content on 500 kilometres’ worth of pistes.
There is no lengthy queuing or crowding at the lift stations and on the ski pistes, which are specially treated every night by a large number of snow groomers and perfectly prepared for the next day.
Furthermore, representatives of the Alpini and Carabinieri police force will guarantee absolute safety and their motorised sledges ensure that when they are needed they can be on hand very quickly.
